I am a board certified Licensed Professional Counselor based in Austin, Texas. I have a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Sciences from the University of Texas at Austin and a Master of Arts in Counseling from St.Edward's University. Having worked in psychiatric hospitals, partial hospitalization programs, intensive outpatient programs, non profit organizations, group and private practice, I have myriad experiences of helping individuals through their unique challenges.
Giving back to community is important to me, and my volunteer experience includes the YWCA of Greater Austin, whose programming and advocacy works to generate institutional change in three key areas: racial justice and civil rights, empowerment and economic advancement of women and girls, and health and safety of women and girls.
While I do not currently see individuals under 18 years old in my practice, I have experience supporting the children of Camp Grey Dove, a free sleepaway summer camp run by Any Baby Can organization for children who have a sibling with cancer, in remission, passed away, or who has special healthcare needs.
I believe when communities come together to support those in need it makes us all stronger; in 2016, I organized a supply drive for the survivors of the catastrophic Louisiana floods, where emergency crews and local citizens in boats rescued more than 20,000 people.
As part of my commitment to provide the best quality of care to women, I am currently enrolled in Harvard Medical School-Women's Heath and Wellness Program.
